Inspired by XiaoZhuang's 3ft mound scape. Newly set up tank 2 days ago. Still considering what fish to house in it. Any suggestions? Thinking of cardinals but.... so common.

    Very nice scaping!

I think you can get some:
    - Oto catfish
    - Fire Red Shrimp
    - Shoaling fish can try: Since your tank is quite small you Gold Ring Danio / Galaxy Rasboras / Espei Rasboras can be a good option.

Do the Espei Rasboras school? I've kept Gold Ring Danios before but i found that they fit better in less heavily planted tanks. They are often obscured by the dashes of colour and heavy foliage. But they do have a nice sheen of colour. Will get some ottos but not so soon, still waiting for water conditions to stabalize. I already have a 2ft tank full of fire reds so other than the usual algae crew, I dont think i'll venture into shrimps for this tank anymore haha.
