tks, have decided to get taiwan moss, my bio load is pretty high with 60 cardinal, 10 rummy nose, 5 yamatoes and 2 cory in a 3 ft tank, will it create problem to the growth of the moss?Originally Posted by janazr
from experience, dont prefer yamato in unestablished moss.
their pickings will cause damage to new moss setup.
just my 5cent opinion.
taiwan or christmas moss is fine for wall
omg, just bought another 5 yamato yesterday, the wall will only be up onOriginally Posted by Mossana-Mossini

you could try the thick variant of xmas moss..the triangular fronds look nice..
I still prefer xmas for the wild look. It's fonts are smaller too
X'mas moss grows very nice especially
with water temp around 25C.
how about mixing both taiwan moss and xmas moss on a backdrop??
i am thinking of doing that![]()
You may want to try the following link for the information on different mosses.

do you guys tied the moss strand horizontally and vertically on the mesh? does it make any difference? tia
It depends on the size of your tank and layout.

Nope, tying the moss in any direction. Doesn make any difference. Just make sure the moss is secured but not too tight, as this will kill it.
Thank you! I foresee many fun just tying those strings of moss =b
Newbie in Aquatic Tank Setup....
Make sure the moss are spread out thinly over the whole mesh when you tie it. As in dont put layers. Alot of old threads here will help.
