Why is it that my checked turns clear? No water seep into the check.

Just change solution can le. Normal wear and tear.

Might have a crack, you wont be able to notice with naked eye . try filling it with some food coloring or any safe dye and see whether color changes or not,

I had same issue, changed the drop checker glass body, problem fixed.

Water level wont change because of trapped air at the open end
