can it be that the impeller had been damaged/worn out so the weight is no long balanced and the rotation thus becomes unbalanced also....

Lsz, I also tot that the impeller has worn out but decided to try tilting it 1st. Even now no sound but the flow seems 2 be a bit slow. Maybe it is clogged up.

2026 is the Pro 2 series, 2224 is the older Pro series.. the Pro 2 has a self priming function (very useful), in terms of capacity, the 2026 is definitely bigger... yes, all media is included
