    Hi guys,

Wondering any of you experienced this scenario or not.

Originally my green shrimp pregnant with eggs then suddenly jus now the eggs all carried by another cherry shrimp. The reason I noticed this change was that my cherry is carrying GREEN EGGS!!! Wondering will it cause cross-breed?? First time for me to experience this.. Maybe not something new for you guys though. haha..

If any of you guys experienced this b4 hope you can provide some info about this scenario i am having now..

    Process!!!

I think i know.. When the shrimp just become mother.

The eggs are still fresh (as in new). Therefore is is green.
It changes from Green to Red and then Dark Brown...
Then u will see small little eye balls of the shrimplets in the eggs.
    Then babies start swiming...
    ur a mother,...

Even if it cross breeds, I don't think shrimp can transfer eggs from one to another, especially when you're talking about one female green shrimp transferring eggs to another female cherry shrimp.

nah, it is not possible. Shrimps do not cross breed. There is a pregnant shrimp somewhere.

Shrimps do crossbreed, just not all of them.

i got myself some cherry shrimps and one of them is pregnant with green eggs. so far there are a few ideas why the eggs are or such colour, ranging from the fact that it's a wild species, to its diet.

anyone has any idea what's the real reason?
    cheers,
