Dy acrylic tank cover

Hi all, i recently made a 2 ft by 1 ft tank cover with 4mm acrylic. However over the past few days, i noticed a bow in the cover. Any idea how to prevent it from bowing or warping? Thks

You can turn it over and place it upside down to see if it helps.

Are you placing it below light? Temperature could be the issue.

Switch to a thicker sheet of acrylic, 4mm is too thin and will tend warp/sag easily... go for perhaps a 8mm thickness (or more) for better rigidity.

Close proximity and heat from the lights (like what gimhchng mentioned) will also gradually soften the acrylic and weaken it, hence the bending. So it's best to use a thicker piece of acrylic to help withstand the effects.

why not cut a piece of glass?? go to the neighbourhood photo frame maker and give them the exact dimensions.... few dollars only...
