Starting a shrimp tank! =)

hi peeps,

I'm new to the forum and I'm new to this hobby as well. I realise that there are many here that are from Singapore and I hope that some 1 will have the time to advice me where I can go to get all the items needed to start this hobby.

I stay in the south, near redhill. I will need everything, from tanks to filters and livestock. I have been to green chapter, but I found the shrimps are of higher grade. wasn't able to find the hardier red cherry shrimps yet.

I've heard alot about the shop in clementi, seems to be the go to place for fishing needs. jus asking around if there are other lfs in my area that can meet my needs too!

I hope some 1 around here would be able to guide me along =) thks!

kembangan? that's in the east isn't it =× hahah but I will gif t a shot.. I realise many lfs don't sell those cheaper cherry shrimps.. all I see is painted red.. at 2bucks /piece =× I'm afraid I kill them and my wallet haha

Aquarist Chamber got neo shrimps in a few different colors but its between serangoon and kovan

East ocean and fishy business sell fire red for $1/pc. For even lower grades Clementi has them In bags of 10 at $6 last I went about a month ago.

yea I saw the fire red at East ocean this evening. 10 for 10 bucks offer. but the water looking murky in that tank.. perhaps I will go back to check it out again.. since its near my hse! and will go dwn to the legendary shop at clementi

Yeah everytime I visit east ocean that tank always look murky. Wonder why. All the other tanks have clear water.

oh man u have similar experience as well.. not very assuring. but the deal looks good. =× hopefully they can solve tat issue.. the shop keeper looks friendly. 2 middle aged lady manning the store.. hope they can teach mi more about starting up a tank =)
