If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.
Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.

what do you want to know abt it?
i had one but that was like 14,15 years ago.
hi BFG
if you are referring to the spotted climbing perch, its a fish that has gone out of grace with alot of fish keepers even though i think they are pretty cool fish to have....the are typically shy in nature and does not like bright lights......provide good shade.......they can get territorial when reaching about 3 to 4in in size.....

i didnt know that there are different varieties for this species??
A story to share; I got this from my fishkeeping uncles.
when s'pore used to have lotsa mud ponds for rearing domestic fishes like snakehead, grass carp, big head carp and etc. The climbing perch, like "soon hock" find their way into these ponds. They are also "champion climbers". They can shift "house" by "crawling" from one pond to another nearby pond. amazing huh? They use their gills to great effectiveness.....
They are not exactly the kind of ornamental fish you want to display, but it is a good kind of ALTERNATIVE like eel.![]()

i kept both before
the one you said earlier is the common southeast asian kind. it is a better climber if you let it..
can be predatorial
the one david showed is from africa, slow grower, similar to a south american leaf fish in behaviour. a good predator. can be surprisingly fast when hunting.
they look drastically different
