Going to be 6mths since i first started out. Always feel that something is missing whenever i look at the tank. Comments from anyone, be it good or bad would be nice.

Somehow, I feel that the layout looks cramped. Maybe you could shift your didplis diandra more to the right side near your sword plant. Create a space on the left side resembling a slanting slope with your riccia towards the didiplis. You could find a drift wood to place on the right side between the riccia lawn and the sword so as to create a more natural setting. Also I think that lotus needs some trimming.

    Hey there,

I'm no expert, but your rotala bunch is too big and centralised, as well as the red lotus.

    Driftwood is in order imho

    Thanks guys

The DD is acutally behind the DW but it has grown long and i left it there to partially block out the 72W. The amazon sword looks weird too right? i wanted to get some broad leave plants to hide the internal filter behind, thats why its there, but it feels outta place. Like it does not set in with the other plants.

    Regards

How big/small is the tank anyway, yes, big leaves makes the tank looks cramped and small, especially if you have more than 1 plants with "big" leaves osition close together. Especially for small tanks, do consider size of leaves in selection of plants.

I find the shades of greens to montonous, choose some with different shades of greens, alond with some rockscapes or driftwood, that will give the tank more depth. It's a good start as the plants are healthy, scaping skill will comes with practice. Hope this helps

To add...if you want the DD(with good light and growth, the tips will turn beautifully pinkish red) to be remain as point of focus, you can add Rotala indica in the front of it, the red indica with the DD will accent it beautifully.
