you probably wouldn't be able to buy it at Aquarama, but you can look at it. I have seen some at Biotope
While surfing web for more info on MH light, come across this Giesemann Nova II (as photo). The size only 300mm and design very sleek. If someone go Germany buy with tax free can get ~ S$560 (euro 270). Worth buying? Also whether the forthcoming Aquarama 2005 selling cheaper price?

Been to Biotope and seen this Giesemann MH light, silver in color. It's very nice and good quality made in Germany. Anyone who seen it will be very tempting to buy one!, quoted price in Singapore about S$800+. I may buy one when in Germany in August/Sept.Originally Posted by Simon

I think the model you are looking was previously retailing for around S$650. I think best to check the marine forums for some tips.
Buying in Germany will be more expensive. The only thing is that you can get the models that's not available in Singapore.

Checked Giesemann website, this is current the best selling MH light and it doesn't list any new models. Honestly, this light is the most beautiful MH light I've seen so far even ADA Japan also use it.

StarFlog,
If you are goign to Germany....Why Buy this MH light?? i presume that for the prcie you can already get the High tech T5 HO light listed in one of the other threads...you know which on i'm talking about..Isnt the company independantly listed in Holland N germany??
I think the High-Tech T5 HO light guy is from Holland and it a custom made piece. May be I should join this forum and start to ask him more questions....Originally Posted by ranmasatome

Yes..it is kinda custom made...as in the company makes the model but i dont think the sell it comercially/publically but they are open to more orders...He just told some forumer where to buy it...which means you can most probably order the exact same piece from the company and collect/buy it. This is an independant comapny based in holland AND GERMANY. Thats why i asked you if you are interested in ordering one...can count me in..heehee..
Okay, need to go back to his thread to check the detail. Why not, I like the design and if the price is good, can hand-carry back but only concern is the weight? must be heavy.Originally Posted by ranmasatome

i think his light set is from ATI Aquaristik. the type that eaquanature was carrying. i search the web and found some before which was why i posted somthing about T5 having dimmers. they have them in rectangle sets like his lights and range from 4 to 8 tubes.
eaquanature is carring another brand, D&D, of T5 retrofit with the gull-wing reflectors like ATI. checkout the item http://www.eaquanature.com/store/def...hp?cPath=34_71
i also check the site and its beyond your imagination! not just dimmers but computer programmed timing from "dusk to dawn" with stuff like dimming of lights 5 times a day to simulate cloud cover!download the PDF file and drool!

I saw the lights at the last Aquarama. Very classic and simply gorgeous. However, it is just too expensive for my wallet. I remember seeing in some past message that one shop in Ginza was carrying it. You may wish to post a thread on it or simply look at the old threads.
Cheers!
I saw it at Marine image at yishun.
