Need help on rocks: is this Limestone or Sandstone?

Hi bros, anyone can help me see if the rocks I purchased are limestone or sandstones?

why dont you take it out and add some drops of vinegar (or better yet, use a stronger acid like HCl if you have one) on it. If i fizzle. Then it is limstone. If it dont fizzle, then it will be safe for aquarium use.

Thanks John, I was actually trying to use limestone to increase my pH. I will try your methods to test my rocks.

You can just as well use boiled egg shell. Smah it and throw it into your tank filter or back of your tank.
