Ehiem 2260 for 120x50x50 Chiller PLanted Tank

Hi all bros!

Need some advice here. Just going back into the hobby after a hiatus of almost 10 years. Will the above mentioned Ehiem 2260 filter (2400liters/hr) be overkill for the a 120x50x50cm tank? There will be a chiller.

Or the other option is to get 2 units of Classic 600 @ 1000liters/hr each.

It’s way too strong for a 120 x 50 x 50 planted.

2x 600 would be better

I think it should be ok. Bear in mind that 1)for filter flow rate decreases(dirt accumulation, density of filter media) . 2) depending the type of plants you plan to get. some plants needs hi water flow.

I had Cryptocoryne plants & never have sufficient water flow for them to grow abundantly.

Forgot to add. If you run thru chiller, the flow rate will decrease even further.
