What’s the cost in making such cover? And what are the wild betas you are keeping? Any success in breeding?
Used lengths of right-angle aluminium extrusion and acrylic bolts and nuts to prevent acrylic sheet covers from bowing and creating gaps at the shorts sides and corners. Prettied them up with colour sheet. I keep wild betta and they tend to jump. So far, so good

The extrusion (Chong Pang hardware store) and acrylic bolts and nuts (eBay; still have leftover) cost less than S$13 in total. The acrylic covers are not new. All in, did the bracing for 8 tanks (20-30cm).
I have:
- betta livida (pair)
- betta bellica (pair)
- betta hendra (2M, 1F)
- betta coccina (Malaysian female)
- paros rubrimonthis (1M, 2F)
- paros tweediei (1M, 2F)
- paros Batu Pahat (
No fry yet! Have had the livida and male bellica for about a year; rest are more recent. Running out of space![]()
That’s a nice wild betta and paros collection you have. How you know you are having a bellica and not simorum?
The male bellica is Johor F1. Very tame. Looked like a mini arowana when young.
If it is from Malaysia it has to be Bellica. Thanks for sharing
