Aquarium in my balcony

Hi All,
I am new to AQ and new to having a aquarium of a bigger size.

I need all the experts advice for my issue.

I have a tank of 3ft length, 2ft height, and 1.5ft width. I have placed the aquarium in my balcony where there is no direct sun light hitting on the aquarium. But however I started to see some algae from past few days. Now I need some advice from you how can I avoid the formation of the algae completely in my case, since I can avoid keeping the aquarium somewhere else.
