You can try to use Wavemaker if you like to have strong flow. Depends on the tank size you can choose different capacity. 20gal probably you can choose the smallest size of wavemaker like 1000L/hr.

I recently bought an Azoo external canister filter which is pretty small for a 20 gal++ tank. From what I see, the water flow is not very strong. I am planning to get hillstream loaches and I want to give them a stronger water flow.
How do I strengthen a waterflow? I know about water pump but they are too expensive for me.
Can i use an Air pump to help with the water flow?

I've found 2 links which looks promising. Which one of this should I get?

It honestly depends on how big a footprint you want the equipment to take since both pumps seem to output the same amount of LPH (though the Lazada pump looks a little smaller). Also, you could just invest in a much cheaper powerhead and attached a sponge to the inlet and boom, you have an extra bit of mechanical filtration/water polisher
