they look like seed shrimps to me

Do do you know what these little white bugs living in my substrate are? I included the shrimp in the image for scale (it’s a little red cherry shrimp). The bugs have been there for over a year and don’t seem to be bothering anything but I think their colony is growing and thus want to know more.
I can’t get a better zoom on my phone but might be able to get a video... they appear to flit in constant motion and have very tiny little antennae or something towards their head.

Those are seed shrimps. It is harmless to the tank environment but a bit unsightly if you are OCD.
It is quite common to have seed shrimps in your shrimp tank. Some people says it is the indication of good water environment, too.
To control it, you can introduce few small fish like guppies in the tank. Seed shrimps will be a great snacks for them![]()
