    hi

i have just replaced my tertra 90 external filter (750l/h) with a JBJ power head (1150 l/h) to drive my external reactor. however i observed that the water flow seems to be weaken??

is the power head inadequate to run my four feet (100G) tank?

    cheers

Published filter flow rate usually reflect the true flowrate after taking into consideration the slowdown caused by the filter media. Power heads flow rates usually assume no media.

So while the powerhead may be rated faster, it may actually be weaker than the filter itself.

Are you still running the filter on this tank? If so, then as long as your powerhead is driving your reactor efficiently enough, it will suffice. Position it so that it works with the filter to provide your entire tank with good circulation.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
