JBL Biotopol increase PPM??

I have been using JBL biotopol for quite some time now for water change which is use to mix with tap water to neutralise copper, leaf, zinc etc.

I always wonder whenever I check my tank PPM using a PPM tester, it always reads between 270-280 PPM.

To do further checks I tested the PPM of tap water which reads only 73-75 PPM and when I mix a drop of this Biotopol in it, the reading will spike back to 270 PPM.

Question is.. is this product safe or should I switch.
