    Hi,

Trying to cultivate riccia in my tank. What is the best way to do it? I have tried tying it to some driftwood. The problem is that the Yamatos and SAEs love to graze on the riccia. Any good ideas?

I was told that Nature's is selling wire gauze. Is is still available?

BTW, where can I top up my CO2 canister? I bought it from Ah Pek at Pasir Ris. Heard that he is shifting (again). Is he still at the address?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

There are several ways you can tie your riccia , refer to YES's homepage for a pictorial guide [:]

I have noticed my yamatos and otos do graze near the riccia foregrd i have too but doesnt really disturb it much , as long as its tied down properly.
Even if some of it gets loose , still grows fast enuff to cover those spots where they came out.

I place the riccia on a metal mesh and then wrap the mesh with fine netting.

As for the Co2 top up , can try BioPlast ( Systems and Control Engin ). $15 instant topup if I'm not wrong.

The fastest way is to float up the riccia such that it will be directly under the light.
Make sure you flow in enough CO2.

Wait for 2-3 weeks, the riccia will grow very fast and long, then cut them into small pieces, you will have enough riccia to cover your whole tank.
