Water Parameters in SG

Hi, I have never done any water-testing but am curious about the water parameters in SG. I'm guessing it's different depending on where you stay? I'm staying in the west.

I'm in the central West (Holland Rd) area, and pH is about 8,but I have noticed some Ammonia in the tap. Is that normal?
