Failure is just another new beginning

That Aquarium at Clementi $20 a Caca Triple Red pair (really huge), C328 auntie $24 a pair. I just saw this Wednesday.
I think buying from hobbyists is cool for many reasons. Fry grow up very fast when given a big tank. Start with a group of 6 or 8 and you should easily end up with a pair. You can then get rid of the rest in classifieds. Juvenile fish are also very tough and adaptable - get them into your tank early on and you will probably have healthier fish than what the M'sian and Indonesian farms are supplying. Plus most serious hobbyists won't breed and sell deformed fish - can't say the same of the farms.
Also, more than once, the offspring I distributed to other hobbyists had their own babies (sometimes over more than a generation, or more than a single hobbyist) and finally found their way back to my room again. I feel an awesome sense of continuity when I look at such fish.
Full disclaimer: I am a hobbyist who often breeds fish. Still waiting to get rich from letting go surplus offspring to other hobbyists/sarcasm
Edwin is always scanning for apisto lobangs, you really should pick his brains. The largest private collection of apistos in Singapore and probably M'sia should be his!

Some other shops that others haven't mentioned but often stock apistos:
Hongyang
Glassbox
Shrimps Affair
Qianhu
Nanyang Seaview

And JZX, too, slipped my mind earlier
