Hi! I recently got I new betta after a long time of cycling my tank however when I woke up this morning I saw that one of his fin's ripped I think on one of my decorations, I took it out so now I only have plants in my tank. What should I do about his fins?

Hi there. You just have to keep changing water, about every 2 to 3 days, add in ketapang/cattapa/ktp extract (if you can't get your hands on it, blackwater extract should be the same), warm water between 25 to 28 degrees Celsius, add aquarium salt in the water (to help prevent infection) and after all these, just wait. Or you can hunt around the web for betta fin regrowth formula, but not sure if it can be shipped to your country. In Singapore, Kteam and Just Betta have such fin regrowth formula.

Personally, I didn't use them, just keep doing the above, making sure there aren't any infections and wait it out.

Melafix is a good medication for fin repair as well as wounds. Commonly available in aquarium shops in various sizes.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
