Pencil fish...

Hello folks!
I just got some of these pencil fish!
Anyone else have them? they look really good in my tank with the driftwood and plants..

Mez...sorry to steal your thread.

Ryan...where did u get it? I was looking for it at Gan's but cldn't find it. Keen to have them in my tank together wif my mosquito rasboras.

Simon, unless Gan has something new, the ones I got last time is the dwarf one, N. marginatus.

The ones at Gan is not the Nannostomus trifasciatus...at least i don think so. I'm looking for this.

This is not wat u have...those in ur tank are the white cloud mountain minnows (in mandarin i believe is pai yin san).

I have bought mine in Bt.Timah complex(a small shopping center next to Beauty World) for $3 each some time back. I was there again few days ago and there are a few pieces left in the tank.

Not too sure if i got the right 3-line pencil... below is the picture.

Personally i prefer tube nose pencil.

Nizz, did you get any of those dwarf pencils from Gan? If not I can swap you some dwarf for 3-line (when you find them). I've got 15 dwarves now, thinking of reducing to 10 and putting in some 3-lines.

I think the ones in subzero's pics are the correct ones (prominent red spots on tail). The dwarves do not.

i don't have luck with pencil fish in my previous 3ft tank...i bought 10 from gan and left one...then i bought 5 again then left one...totally no luck and i don't knwo what is happening..doesn't matter.

Gan has them? Well...if those dat i saw were the 3-lined, they weren't dat nice.
