    Hi,
I am new to this forum.
I bought mini pellia for my bonsai tree. After 1 month hair algae took over and is growing very fast.

Is there any solution to get rid of the hair algae?

    - Light 70% brightness for 6hrs
    - CO2 for 6 hours around 2-3 bps.
    - Change 50% water once a week

    Appreciate your kind advise.

    Thanks

Re: Hair Algae on New Mini Pellia

    Hi,

I have just put in 5 amano shrimp in it and realised that they are pulling out the mini pellia. Saw quite a lot of mini pellia floating around.
Any ideas what can i do?
Really appreciate your valuable comments & suggestions.

    Thanks in advance

I think it will be hard to remove all the algae using shrimps. For a start, you may want to examine your water parameters and do alternate day water change to remove the excess nutrients in the water column. You may also want to reduce either the duration or the intensity of the light.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
