I find that a lot of times I am unable to see posted pictures in the forum. I am using Mozilla Firefox and IE as my browsers and I have problem with both trying to see pictures. At first I thought the thread was too long ago so the link to the picture might not be current, but found that some pics posted on the same day also can't be seen. Does anyone have the same problem? One example is this thread:

Hope someone can help me. Thanks.

Edit: see my next post first. If that does not solve your problem, answer the questions in this post. Thanks.

Hmm... I'm using IE and I have not had problems viewing pictures since we migrated to current forum software. It's hard to determine the problem without being able to mess with your PC directly.

    Are you behind a firewall?
What OS are you using? (XP has built in firewall, but I don't think it blocks images.)
Which version of IE are you using?

Do you have the same problem browsing other forums powered by vBulletin? Like http://www.arofanatics.com
Do you have problems viewing pictures on other websites (not just forums)?
Can you see the picture below?

If you click this, do you see a picture?
Do all the other images in this forum display correctly? Like smileys, icons, etc?

What have you tried doing to solve your problem?

Oh yes... the page you linked to has an attached image. When you say you cannot see the picture, do you mean:
    1. that you cannot see the thumbnail (small picture) at the bottom of the post, or
    2. that when you click on the thumbnail, it does not open the original larger image?

If it is case 2, then most likely your browser is blocking pop-ups. You can:
    a. Set your browser to allow popups for this site, or
    b. Go to usercp->edit options and look for a setting called "Open Attachments in a New Window" and select "Off". In this case the original image will open in the same window as the thread that you are viewing.

Let's see, I am using XP sp2, IE 6.0. I am not able to see the thumbnail. Yeap, I am behind a firewall, maybe I will disable it to see if I can see the thumbnails.

I do understand that it is very difficult for off line trouble shooting. I also am trying to see if the problem is only limited to my pc or someone else is having it too. Thanks.

No worries... computers get wierd sometimes. Among my friends who are tech-savvy and frequently do tech sppt for friends and relatives, most have come across many cases where their mere presence makes computer problems go away. It's wierd.
