Anyone growing Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides?

Just wondering anybody growing Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides, other then BC? Would like to find out more about your experiences with the plant.

I've been growing it for a couple years. It isn't particularly sensitive to anything, but will do MUCH better with strong light and lots of co2. Throw everything you have at it and it will do fine. It's demanding, but does well if you give it what it wants, in other words.

I've also propagated it by seed and grown it in my emsersed setup (in soil and Flourite). It grows faster emersed, so you might want to try it that way if you don't have a lot to start.

It's nice because of its unique color and shape. You can just let it pile up and make hills. I'd only use it at the very front in a large tank.

You say that it piles up, but does it try to crawl?

Yes, it does. It really looks better as a solid mass though. The ends of the creeping shoots can look pretty stringy. You can pune off segments with two or three nodes to shape and repair your hills.
