I've been growing it for a couple years. It isn't particularly sensitive to anything, but will do MUCH better with strong light and lots of co2. Throw everything you have at it and it will do fine. It's demanding, but does well if you give it what it wants, in other words.
I've also propagated it by seed and grown it in my emsersed setup (in soil and Flourite). It grows faster emersed, so you might want to try it that way if you don't have a lot to start.
It's nice because of its unique color and shape. You can just let it pile up and make hills. I'd only use it at the very front in a large tank.
