hey been having problems trimming my stem plants. Cause of the light and co2 they've been growing like crazy and i gotta trim them every few days. However at the stem where i cut them, the cut tip turns black and the side-shoot just grows from it, making it look very unruly. and the black tip from the cut part stays there!!!

Anyone got any advice how to trim plants properly without them looking worse after growing out??

    zzzzzzz

Generally for stemmed-plants, just trim as and replant tops. You may wish to keep the bottom so that new shoots produce a more bushy effect. But it's better to identify what they are first. You don't wanna trim a tonina sp. like how I trim rotala sp.
