stick with black, I used fluorite red before, puts a red cast on everything when you take photos.
stick to onyx, ada or denerlle black (or plain fluorite)
I'm in the middle of deciding which colour of gravel should I use for my 4 feet planted tank. Some of the consideration are as follows;
1. Black - this would created a distinct colour between the plant, fishes and the base, should be a good choice. But then in the long run, it will also review the poos, and the uneaten food which might become unsightly
2. Red Gravel - could create a similar effects as well as the black, and will not review all the poos and the uneaten food. Might be a better choice.
Anybody have any comments? or suggestions ?
Cheers

Black imho should not reveal dark fish poo, rather, red will reveal it.
Plus if it's planted, any detrius will look completely natural/invisible.
I stick with dark colours like brown, black, or the colour of light-coloured wood.
Go for ADA aquasoil black color, very nice especially against the green of plants. Very contrast..
Red gravel, not natural as far as I can imagine!
