I do find that small fishes are much better appreciated through a good picture. Maybe because my eye sight are failing me and they timid nature does not make it any easier.
This fella looks like it's about 4 cm?

Very good details.
One thing about loaches that I've noticed is that their markings on the skin looks as if it's silk screened on it. More obvious to thoseo who have high resolution files to examine it in close details.
