    hi BC,

    could you please tell me how it goes haywire with peat? the reason why i'm asking is because i'm considering using tom barr's mix. tom mentioned that he adds a little peat and mulm to the bottom of his mix. btw how much is too much?!!

    Onyx is made up of quite high content of carbonates. Peat is acidic and acids reacts with carbonates.

    Just a handful or a very thin layer will do. Don't use like 2-3cm of peat, too much organics.

    (Note: I am talking about peat, not Aquasoil.)
