Just planted? Might be converting from emersed to submersed form.

Then obviously it's due to your stoppage of fert Check all parameters... CO2 first, followed by NPK, then Ca and Mg, traces, then temp, and lastly lighting.

Yellowing is often due to lack of iron.

I will advise against planting them on driftwood as they are not "rhizome" or "tuber" plants like nana, java ferns or bolblitis.

Leaves turning yellow suggest to me that light might be a likely culprit if CO2 and nutrients are in abundance. Are your HC shaded by taller plants? If so, make sure they receive all the light.

If they are under full illumination, just dose your fertilizers according to the directions stipulated if you do not use test kits. If you are new to fertilizer dosing, then get those complete fertilizer like TMG, Tropica Master Growth or Dr Mallick's LGA, Lush Gro Aqua.

I only test my water parameters in the beginning. After that, I dose fertilizers and observe my plant growth accordingly. I am neutral to those specs since they only serve as a guide.

If you must plant HC on driftwood, then I suggest you leave them floating on the water surface. After they start to grow, tie them to driftwood or place them admist the moss. Usually, I do the latter since they need to have something to cling onto.

    Cheers!

To add, there's no need to test for those elements!

For CO2, just increase bubble count day by day until you hit a maximum input where fishes are alright at any time of the day.

For the others, just ensure you're adding them in, in excess if possible. Deficeincies are no good, excess is alright.

As for CO2, i think i got quite a fair bit of it as i normally have so much lights so i balance that out with CO2.. all my plants including HC bubble like crazy, accept for those on the driftwood... maybe it should not be there in the first place.. thks for the advise thou..

Anyone have any luck on growing HC lushly...?
If yes, how do you plant it, wat is ur tank condition, & wat substrate do u use...?
Have tried grow HC but failed, maybe bcoz my tank still too hot that day.
Now after adding fan, want to try again.
But someone told me not to use HC in planted tank coz it suppose to be emerse plant, so plant it under water is useless.

the guys who told you that HC is nt a planted tank plant is obviously not very well versed in the types of plants. HC is an aquatic plant but it may need some time to convert to submerged form from the emmersed one.

Wat is root monster...? Somekind of fertilizer?

Anyone have luck grow HC more than 1 month...? What about the maintenance, any trouble...?

How long does HC need to adapt themselves in emmerse form...?
