For SG$520, you get the following:-
    - A 4x2x2ft aquarium with 10mm glass all round and oyama paper trimming at the top.
    - Overflow setup with 2 holes drilled in tank.
    - A galvanized iron stand.
    - A sump with 6mm glass.
    - Piping to direct water to and from tank.
    - A fountain pump included(not exceeding SG$60 but dunno wat brand)

    Wat do you guys tink?
    Is that a good deal?
It busted my initial budget though...

Not too sure. A lot of us here don't really use a sump set up. Perhaps can try going to the Marine sites for more information.

But from what I can see, seems like a decent deal. The most expensive part will be the 10mm thick 4 ft tank.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

What's the condition? Is its new? Glass/silicone quality?
What's the bracing like at the top?
The good thing about overflow, is you can share a chiller with two tanks

But overall considering its not a cabinet set, it seems rather too costly. I think you can scout out better deals at C328 and NA

    Hi flying chicken,
For that amount of money you can buy alot of extras besides the ones you have said. Go to C328 ask auntie you will not waste the trip there. I hope for $520 you are refering to a new tanks setup. It's way too costly BRo. Anyway I just bought a 4 footer from her last week with cast Legs so I know.

Well, it's a totally new tank setup. All the stuff are new. The glass is from Japan. I would like to pay C328 and NA a visit. May I know their shop's address? Do they custom make tanks based on your request? (like drilling holes etc)

FLORENCE, capital of the region of Tuscany, has a population of around half a million inhabitants, spreads on the banks of the Arno, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. It is a city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and culture, art and science.

I have no vested interest in C328, no relationship, anyhow, also.

Ok,that done, personally think C328 has a lot of stuff and fish. I can find almost every hardware I need from there. C328 also often have fauna that are interesting or rare. And those interested in arrowanas would love that place too...

Also, Aunty is friendly (though she is almost always very busy), remembers you and does things like exchanges, swoppings etc. She also gives advices and discounts (which acts to make you think you bought things for cheaper lah ) and she accept customers' advices too.

Why don't you order your tank from QWS fish tank manufacturer. Contact David @ 92966858. Has very good feedback from forumers at arofanatic.com. He specialise in Internal Overflow or Sumps for aro tank setup. Good price with very good workmanship.
If you do order from him let him know that you don't want the bracing to be all around the tank cos it'll be quite an inconvenience especially if you're using it for planted. If i'm not wrong his tanks comes in all round bracing.

ah, David from QWS...I've visited him once before. I've no doubt in his experience in tank making and stuff but dun you think his pricing is a bit on the high end side? Maybe I'am quite broke, that's why I felt that way...

With that money, you can customize make your 4ft tank + all the other items, and still got spare for some plants/fishes.
