ozone filter

is there such thing as a ozone filter or sterilizer in fresh water aquariums??

There's a UV filter but no ozone filter. There is an ozoniser however. All it does is to pump in ozone into the water to kill off germs. Note however, if the ozone gets into the main system it can be lethal to the fishes.

Use it only if you need it. Otherwise you are better off with a UV filter instead.
