Hi bro, the hump is located at the top and many brothers said its the spine.
they said that it likely is due to insufficient food or poor water condition.
I have tried spoon feeding it and is slowing taking in food.
Hope it recovers and can join the rest of the fishes in the tank
Was the gar just introduced? Gars are very prone to spinal injury and this could inhibit their ability to hunt feeders.
Hmmm. If it were as what the others describe as a spinal injury, then perhaps you may want to wrap the sides of the tank with black, opaque paper to prevent the gar from hitting the sides.
check your water perimeter see if its ok,or you have any other tankmate that is stressing the gar etc.chasing it.
