    Hi,
I've been keeping shrimps(cheery, blue & tiger shrimps) in a 1 foot tank for sometime. I've seen baby shrimps swimming around a couple of times but they never last for more than 3 days. I need advise as to how could I keep them alive?
    Many thanks

    Hello Skye,

For my case, I don't do anything with them. I just leave them with all the other shrimps. My tank is only for shrimp, no fish and the baby shrimps (Cherry and Bee) grow up very fast. Sometimes, they are so small that may take sometimes to find them, especially in heavy vegetation tank.

So, if you have other fish inside, then very likely have been eaten up by the fish.

    Good luck.

Same for me, I do nothing about the baby shrimps. I only keep shrimps in that tank. You might want to check with bro jojoe cute. He is the expect in breeding shrimp.
For good or for ill, I will walk on the path chosen by none but myself.

Particularly, tiger and bee shrimps needs cool water at 25C or below, you won;t have much luck to see tiger grownup if your water is not cold.

For cherry, it is easily, 28C will do. Do you have other tankmates in the tank that enjoy eating shrimplet?

For blue shrimp, not too sure which species are u referring to, but as far as I have tried, one species is as hardy as Cherry and the fries are equally hardy.

Generally, for those hardy species, keep temperature below 28C, the chance of the fries grow up is much larger.

There is nothing much you can do when the fries are released, they will look for food themselve.

Why not you list your tank water parameter and setup so people here will be able to figure out the exact reason.

    another thing to take note...
wrap ur filter inlet with plastic mesh...
if not ur fries will be in ur filter...
sometimes when i wash my shrimp tank filter, fries are found inside..
lol.. nv notice the shrimps are carrying eggs...
    i'm keeping green and cherries..
    super hardcore breeders...
    alwaz c eggs on them...
    therefore,alwaz c shrimplets...

my tank temp is 28 and below...
only have 1 pygmy cory inside the tank...others are shrimps and shrimplets...

    FaRnie,

Do you put Green and Cherry in the same tank?

Do they cross with each other?
