Please help.I am using a submersible pump rating at 750L/hr to pump back the water. What I don't understand is when I use a 3/4" U pipe, the pump could not pump enough and thus the sumpbox is full. When I use a 1/2" U pipe, there is not enough water for the pump.Sigh!!!!Wat to do???

    mariner,

Could you please describe the design of your overflow box in greater detail? I think it may just be a case of bad design with the overflow box cos usually, the problem faced by an overflow box is that the return pump is too powerful, therefore causing the water to flow back into the tank faster than the overflow box can drain from it.

    Hi,

What you can do is to rig up your return using hard PVC pipes, and add a simple ball valve ($5) to it - you'll be able to use the smaller U-tube piping and adjust the return using the ball valve. Works so far for me.
