I will use 2 x 36W for my 2ft tank.
I will use 2 x 36W for my 2ft tank.
It all depends on what you want. I use 72W because I want fast growth, and some of my plants like high light.
I've used 24W, 36W, 55W and 72W on 2ft tanks.
icic... hmmm

Be aware that higher lights also mean algae will strike more readily.
Oh, the rare old Whale, mid storm and gale. In his ocean home will be. A giant in might, where might is right. And King of the boundless sea.
How many fan you have? From some of the bro mentioned here, they say that it make not much different in having additional fan. If you are using PL light with eballast should not be much issue on the temperature unless it is quite high now.
For good or for ill, I will walk on the path chosen by none but myself.
Adding another fan with the increase of lightings will not make much effect. A single fan will do just to make the water cooler.
The concern in the increase of lightings is algae. As a general guide for a 2ft tank:
36W - no CO2 or DIY CO2
55W - pressurised CO2
2X36W - pressurised CO2 (lots of it)

I use 72 + 55 for my 2 feet but it is a wider tank. Algae problems come very fast. but for the plants, it's worth it.

Andrew
