    Tried to stay away as long as possible,knockout: Started somtime back when I got a couple of coccina, just collected 2 pugnax... now what next :

    Oooh... They are not exactly common and the rare ones are certainly priced out of reach of most average hobbyists.

    How about Betta macrostoma?

    Think the pugnax will do very nicely in a local vivarium (wet / dry) concept don't you think?

    Oh yeah..... I had one jump the height of a pail from the toilet, all the way to my dining table. Thats a good distance. Always, always cover your tank when you've got wild betta in them. Expensive to lose them this way....

    Caught the Bug...ha ha...

    FYI , the pugnax I caught at Mount Ophir looks different from the specimens from our local stream. The specimens obtained from Kota Tinggi also varies in colouration and indricents.

    So Mr Miao....it would be good if you could get your hands on the different locality type pugnax...ha ha drool....drool....
