carbon doesn't absorb nutrients per se
it's the chelators that stabilise the nutrients which carbon sucks up like a sponge
as a rule of thumb, carbon in a well-stocked, well-planted tank would be exhausted in about 3~4 days
hi guys, jus wandering if it is necessary to have carbon in the filter for planted tank. went to a lfs today and was told that carbon will absorb the liquid fertilizers. is that true? thanks
