hi. just to share the good news. my pair of dwarf cichlid which bred a few weeks ago (those who had read the thread should know) has successfully produced bundles of love again. the mother brought the fries out to search for food this morning. and as usual the father is very protective over the mother and fries, chasing the bigger angelfish and corydoras away. some pics of the mother and fries, looking for food at the riccia foreground.

yup.. looks like having a picnic huh.. but with big bad wolves prowling around... heh. anyway the father and mother have been doing a really good job in keeping the other fish away. really nice parenting out there.
the female is slightly less than 2" and the male slightly more than 2" when they were breeding.
their breed... they look very very much like A. resticulosa. but according to A. Moae (our fellow forumer).. the fish is a cross between A. resticulosa and A. caetei.
