    Hello all...

Is there any way which i can increase my pH besides adding limestones to my tank? Because, my tank is really small and do not have space to put that bag of limestone one top.. And until now, my tank, i do not know the pH!!
This tank of mine is about 2weeks old...

I everyday top up about 1litres of water.. Will this affect the pH value?
Hmm... I really don't know.. PLease help..

Also, lastly, is there other ways which i can check my pH value? Because, i can't afford a pH test kit.. And for me, i think it's too expensive..
    PLease help..

    Thanks a lot,
    Alvin

Did you add anything that will reduce the pH of your tank?

If not, the pH of our tap water should be around 7.0.

Don't assume tap water is 7.0pH. I've measure it at 8.0pH out of my tap and others have reported as high as 9.0 if I'mnot wrong. There is a VERY old thread about that.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

Our tap water pH should be rather high due to the stuff PUB add into the water... Water marks are also due to dissolved solids, which generally increases the pH...

Just add a small coral chip into the tank or a sea shell and that will slowly raise the PH.

everyday topping up of 1lt water shouldnt matter much, normally ph change is due to co2, since u got no co2, and the volume of water is little, it wont affect ur ph.

as for ph test kit, save a bit lorz....$1 a day, 1 week plus to 2 u can get urself a decent ph test that can last u for months, worth it??
    personally i felt it's worth it....hehe

Yup... egg shells, sea shells, calcium tablets(get those from me! 98627310) all of which will increase your pH.

Also, are you talking about a pH test KIT or a PEN? There's a huge difference in price you realise.
