Just wonder how many hobbyists here vacuum the dirt from the gravel during water change or just leave those dirt alone. Is it necessary to remove those dirt once a while?

I do. Just the stuff that's sitting on the surface. And only when it gets obvious or after a major uprooting and replanting.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

Thank you for the replies. Oh ya, "siphon" is the correct word. Guess I would feel more comfortable too siphoning surface dirt when changing water. cheers....
