that will encourage faster growth
fellow forumers, any idea above? is it just cut to the required height and plant newly cut grass into another area to propagate???[:]

grass can propagate this way meh?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Hi Kel
Before i forget...all the best in ur coming exams...may the brain force of 10,000 fish be with you...
Hairgrass...u can't propogate them via the top trimmings. Dat will, like Simon said, encourage growth (height-wise). HG propogate via runners, which grows at the rate of 1 per week (estimated). So to harvest, u'd need to cut off the runners...but it'd be quite troublesome to do that without disturbing the whole turf...

since it's already in your tank why don't you juz leave it alone?
You can plant the newly cut grass into another area if that's what you are asking.----------------

But cutting the hair grass, you will encourage the old plant to propagate by having more new shoot sort of like runner.
Good luck.![]()
if they get too long, then block the view of cories swimming ard or between them.. sigh.. btw, will they grow till they reach the water surface?
