Glosso dont grow horizontally across the tank

I tried planting glosso the lazy way .. clumps shoven under the gravel ..... result .. they grew but the dead ones that cannot thrive .. just had lots of algae on them. So this cause algae problems for me. So I pulled them all out, cut them up where there are some roots on them and replanted at about every square cm. And of course with 2 MH(over powering for my thank!!! ), it crawlled very well .. and now its covered.

I had the same problem of the buggers just went vertical .. its due to insufficient lights. Good Luck!

i did the same way too. though doing fine but those glosso in the middle still likes to grow upwards while the side one crawls. my lights are 91 watt (total) for a 2 footer. can anyone tell me what's wrong?? coz after calculation is like 5 watt per gallon.

Maybe your tank's too tall so even 5 WPG not enough.
Or some plants shades the "middle glosso"...?
