I have done Nutrafin Aquaplus and currently Seachem Prime which works well ime. No special issues really except some "green hairy" issues on my foreground substrate. (issue not caused by those dechlorinators though)

Peter Gwee

I've stopped using it recently, and I've noticed that my water is much clearer than before, not so much floating particles that never seemed to settle down or get trapped by my filter.
Does anyone have this problem?
Could you guys provide comments on other brands of dechlorinator/conditioner you find great?

I am also using Genesis.
Never really see any floating particles.
Maybe i can try not dosing and see if there is any difference.
I do see some suspended particles from the Genesis bottle.
Hope that it is safe for Aquatic usage
If I can get hold of filter paper, don't mind filtering this Anti-chlorine

I have a residue at the bottom of my bottle. But a few shakes and it's all gone... but not dissolved. I tried again just now. I shook the bottle and added about 3 drops. I didn't like what I saw... tiny particles started to spread all around the tank. I'll check tommorrow afternoon to see if the water has deproved somewhat and report.
If you're trying to get rid of suspended particles why not use Geo Liquid. Heard that it's good for making the water clear though i've not use it myself.
Anybody have experience using it?

I started using this recently, but did not notice the floating particles. Hmm... let me go back and check it more thoroughly.Originally Posted by |squee|
Could your floating particles come from your fish food? I noticed that whenever I feed my fishes, I get floating particles of the food that's been broken down into powdery form which the fishes does not consume.

I'm using Genesis and have no problems with it so far. Given that it's only a few drops, any particles are not that visible anyway. And after a while, it disappears.
I'm also using SeaChem's Prime. It stinks. But also as good.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

I've considered in the past... but somehow fate never got me to put my hand out and touch that product. I've used this Easylife product before though... forgot the name. Saw no visible effects.Originally Posted by aquarius
I think I'll be switching to Seachem Prime too
baranne, that could be a possibilty, but particles that never get filtered out or settle down in the tank scare meI don't think it could be from the fish food. Then again I may be wrong.
