This is the slightly more matured tank from the last photos i showed in another thread.

This tank has so far been running CO2Less for 3 months, aircond room, 6x36WPL, 2 filters, FERKA fertilizers.

    thanks Koah fong.

Not really thick, I used ADA Amazonian AquaSoil. I found that the hairgrass grew very beautiful using this soil. Somehow, the hairgrass remains very short despite the height and light used. The way it is planted and the medium is very important from what I learnt here. (I planted them 2-3 strands as a clump, for the entire 6ft front)

The cryptocoryne wendtii green was another great success, grew big without melting. Pontederiifolia are nice too. Another soil I found good for crypts is granupor Aquarium.

    Beautiful!

How long did it take you to set each one up?
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:

baranne, you just need to get the tank and buy the plants.

vinz, these tank are each at least 4-6months old. Setting them up in terms of equipment and planting, probably 3hours each.

How I wish it was that easy...

The 6 footer would have to wait. I am planning it to go with my next renovation...
    Cheers,
    Joe

Everything is prepared before hand, its only putting things together and start the engines at the site.

    Hi Lorba;

Always admire your setups. I assumed both the featured setup using chiller?

My 4ft just using 2 fan at ard 27c in average. Just recently, most of my crypt nuriis melting I'm worried abt my bullosa, keei, etc. I have yet to plant them, floating at surface now.

    Thanx.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference
