Help!!! My tank is infested with ?????

Plants throw away lor. This time buy new one die die will check before putting them in tank.

Errr... what about the plants? Veggie soup?

If you remove the plants too, then when you put back the plants the snails that were hiding in them will lay some more eggs.

Just before I decided to overhaul the tank, I notice that there was a sudden influx of very tiny planaria on the glass walls. I figure that the jell stuff is most likely the slug eggs.

Anyway, I've already changed out the water and washed the whole tank. Now waiting for the water to age. With the amount of worms and slugs, I decided an overhaul was more appropriate than treatment.

The shrimps are now in a small temporary tank which is filled water from the original tank. Guess what, I saw 2 tiny slugs yesterday. And the water was filtered before I filled the temp tank. Don't tell me their young is microscopic till they cannot be filtered out?

Yes. Planaria is in our reservior waters too. I'm not sure if any get into our tanks through tap water.... I can't remember what I read/saw at the NeWater exhibition about planaria and other micro-organisms in our water.

Appearance of planaria is usually a sign of overfeeding. You have to reduce feeding and get rid of all to clear up. I doubt those in your temp tank will survive if you don't feed the shrimp. Give the shrimp some moss or javafern on driftwood... they'll feed on stuff off those.

Oh... planaria are not slugs. They are slug-like, but they are not slugs.
