Personally, when I quarantine my new fishes, I use the same community water, easier for the fishes to adapt after the quarantine period over and also some salt.

As for food, the same food that you will be feeding them but make sure they finish.

thanks for your suggestion. LFS suggested using lower ph and adding some ketapang leaves during this period. ph in quarantine tank now around 6.6 with a couple of ketapang leaves inside. feeding it with micro pellets. it is ok to feed frozen bloodworms.

I used to feed them Cardinal Tetras.
4 semi adults walloped 50 of them in 5 days..
    They were very healthy.
This was 2 years ago and they are still around..

Err.. someone suggested that I should not use the word 'feed'.
    It was plain ignorance.
Didn't expect Altum Angels to be that cannibalistic!

Altum angels feed on small fishes in the wild. As they are wild fishes not suprising that they also feed on small fishes

wow, that was rather graphic.... hmmmm well anyway you just need to pour in the water that you used to keep the fish and add some water from that of the aquarium you are gonna put them in. no need for any chemicals, just leave them for a day or 2 yup

for altum angels they are pretty hard to keep. when they first arrive here, they are not used to the water. best is that let they have water with low PH. so they can survive here. initally mayb u can provide them with baby fries. then slowly convert them to eat pellets
