Nicky,
Just go straight to the flower, bird, fish (literal translation) market. The hotel staff would be able to advise you. Drift wood are really good buys there.
Would be nice if you can snap a few pictures of your visit to show us.
Cheers,
I will be going to Beijing for business trip and will be staying in the following hotel.
Anyone knows of any aquarium-fish-market / fish-shop / plant-shop that is worth visiting?
Thanks.

I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
Thanks Benny. I will take some pictures to show all here.
Also I will buy back some nice DW to add to my collection. I got 2 weekends there !! Looking forward to the trip. Is there anything else to look out for other than DW? Looks like I need to start arranging for forwarders to help ship the wood back, hehe..
Plants! Cheap plants! You can do a 8 ft pure nana tank and it won't cost you thousands of dollars. Some sundray goods are also of good value there. I recall OSI to be cheaper in China than it is in Singapore.

Where is this place near? What street or landmark? I asked my colleagues in Beijing and they are asking the same question.
BTW, What is this OSI thingy? Thanks Benny !
I think this has been asked before in this or Petfrd forum. Do a search.
The one I went to is at 女人街.
Hi,
I had the opportunity to visit 2 of the 花鸟市场 in 北京 during my visit there in May 2005. One of them is near to 潘家园 and the other is near to 官园桥 (hopefully I did not remember the road names wrongly, please verify with the cab drivers there). Below are some photogrpahs of the two places for your reference. The one near to 燕莎桥 is the one term as 女人街 if I am not wrong. I was rushing for train so did not really spend much time there but I had the impression that most of the plants sold there are available and cheaper in Singapore.
