Regarding LushGro Micro

Hi forumers,

Went to 87 beach rd chye sing building to purchase LGA and LGM yesterday..however...i got the info from ms teresa the sales person..she said that LGA alone is already very sufficient for planted tank..LGM is only for use when ur plant are in poor state... Juz wanna get some comment from u all cuz i only bought LGA...

hmm looks like you kena wrong info from that woman, normal undemanding plants maybe LGA is sufficient but you ll still need LGM, they provide different types of nutrients, LGM is trace nutrients... it would have been better if you bought both as a set as it is normally cheaper. What kinda plants you keeping?

Just so you know.. LGA has EVERYTHING LGM has .. its just that LGM provides it in higher concentration so you dont have to dose so much and lacks NO3 and K. thats the only difference..

hmmm that way i better chk the bottle again, i thought they add in different nutrients and stuff. So am i right to say if i add LGA i dont need to add LGM? Or rather, as long as i add LGM, i just need to add KNO3 and the fert should be balanced?

From Dr Mallick's website, it stated that LGM is a supplement for all liquid fertilizer.. I also think that it is more or less help to impove the deficiency of trace elements... I keeping glosso in the foreground...some japonica..a reineckii..and some background plant...i m going to rescape the right bg later on

If you go the LGM way.. you have to add kno3 and po4. But you have to add ALOT of LGM i think.

If you go LGA only, then you are going to get more K then NO3 in your tank because its balanced that way... plus you still have to add Po4.

option 1 more expensive but mroe flexible
option 2 cheaper but really rigid

Using both together also can. I used to do that until my LGA ran out.
Some folks prefer to have a little of the NO3 in LGA. And top up more traces from LGM, more K from K2SO4 and separately dose their PO4 from KH2PO4.

Hi juggler,

Notice that u dose LGA & LGM daily.. how much do u dose per litre?

And also that how do u all calculate ppm? What do u all mean by ppm?

please help..

Beware though, adding too much LGM wipes out all the invertibrates in your tank. Happened to me

. all shrimps and snails died.. except pest snails (those guys sure are hardy).

I guess its the copper content inside.

Hi,

I am using your spreadsheet for calculation of Lushgro Mirco.

I see that 10 drops of Lushgro Micros equivalent to 0.5 ml will give 0.8 ppm of Fe daily.

I noted from the website that Fe content in Fe EDTA is about 13%. I am doing some back calculation and dun seems to get the figures right.

Could you guide me?
